  • Erin + Bobby :: St. Mary's Church, Annapolis, MD // The Golf Club at South River

It was such an honor to photograph Erin and Bobby's wedding ceremony at St. Mary's Church in Annapolis, MD. The weather was perfect and such a change from the rains that we'd had all week, I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day. Their reception was over at The Golf Club at South River, a beautiful backdrop for their celebration! These two with their sweet family and friends had such a great time celebrating together with the most delicious food, drink and tunes by their deejay, Ryan with Esquire Weddings! • April + Darren :: Carroll County Farm Museum, Westminster, MD

April and Darren are such a sweet couple, it was a joy to photograph their wedding! They were married at Carroll County Farm Museum in Westminster on a gorgeous September day. April incorporated so many sparkly details along with her love of purple--sparkly eyeshadow, sparkly shoes and even faerie hair added to the magic of her day! She was stunning! April's grandmother was the flower girl and tossed the buds in such an artistic way, I could hear her friends and family cheering her down the aisle. As April and her dad came down the aisle, Darren barely held back the tears (his breathing techniques really paid off)! They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony and the arch of wisteria vines was a such a lovely backdrop. The vintage detail and the DIY pieces that April incorporated in their wedding created such a romantic feel. Her grandmother's wedding gown hung beside an open suitcase for cards, her dad cut tree cookies for her dessert table, and the tiny honeybee theme that was woven throughout their day added such a unique touch to their wedding. They celebrated over delicious food, dancing and the enjoyment of being with family and friends! Congratulations April and Darren! • Jordan + Cody :: Morningside Inn, Frederick, MD

What an amazing honor it was to photograph Jordan and Cody's wedding! I met Jordan two years ago at her dear friend's wedding and was so excited when she contacted me about her wedding! It's always so much fun to see friendly familiar faces at a wedding. Jordan designed her whole color scheme around a bracelet that her grandfather had given to her grandmother right before he passed away. He gave it to her early as he knew he wouldn't be around for their anniversary. It's a gorgeous bracelet and was so fitting for her "Beauty and the Beast" theme. Jordan coordinated and designed everything and it was utterly fantastic--the sparkly tablecloths, rose gold touches, copper frames, and rich hues that she blended so perfectly! The heart-shaped glow glasses at the reception were a hit and just added a whole new element to the celebration!! Loved it!! Congratulations Jordan and Cody!! • Alison + Jordan :: St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Silver Spring, MD // Torpedo Factory Arts C

I had the incredible honor of photographing Alison and Jordan’s Wedding. Their ceremony took place at St. John the Baptist in Silver Spring, MD and the reception was at the Torpedo Factory Arts Center in Alexandria, VA. Jordan teared up as he watched Alison walk down the aisle with her dad. Alison was simply radiant, smiling as her dad kissed her cheek and gave her away. The weather couldn’t have worked out more perfectly for them. While we were inside for the ceremony, it poured outside. As the ceremony ended, so did the rain, allowing us to take photos using the gorgeous arches outside of the church. Once we arrived in Old Town Alexandria, VA, we had some extra time to walk around before their reception began. The cobblestone streets, brick pathways and walls, along with the ivy provided such a lovely, historic backdrop to their photos. Their fun personalities and awesome friends and family made their reception quite the celebration! It was so exciting to be a part of their wedding day! Congratulations Alison and Jordan! • Carly + Dan :: Chesapeake Bay Beach Club, Stevensville, MD

Carly and Dan were married at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club in Stevensville, MD on a wonderfully hot day in September. The initial forecast was rain all day, so we were happy to have some sun! The beach club is just fabulous--being able to see the bay bridge, hear the water against the shore, and witness the sunset over the water is such a treat. Their first look was so sweet and emotional, a note from Dan moving Carly to tears. Their ceremony was incredibly special as well as they wrote their own vows from the heart. Carly leaned over to wipe the tears from Dan's cheek at one point and he did the same for her. The deep love that they have for each other was so evident. After a cocktail hour complete with an amazing sunset, they celebrated with a memorable first dance and toasts that followed that reflected just how perfect they are for each other! Dancing was in the Tavern Bayside which is such a unique space where you could hear the water from below. They began with parent dances and then opened the floor for the party to happen! It was fantastic and several of Carly's cousins proved to be quite capable on the dance floor! • Krystal + Daniel :: Cloisters Castle, Lutherville, MD

Krystal and Daniel's wedding was so incredible! It all took place at the Cloisters Castle in Lutherville, MD. It was the perfect venue for their Game of Thrones themed wedding, complete with swords, falcons, doves, fur stoles and cloaks, and an awesome bridal party to go with it! Even Kelly (their wedding coordinator) dressed up like a ninja (#theweddingninja) and Jeff (the DJ) dressed up like a knight! Krystal's mother officiated the wedding and Daniel's father was the sword bearer. Though there was a threat of rain all day, the ceremony was outside in the courtyard with the castle as the backdrop. During the vows, a raven flew down and landed on Daniel's arm delivering the rings. Then, at the end of their ceremony, they released doves which was magical! Their reception was just as amazing and the celebration continued on the dance floor, making the evening memorable night for all! • Katie + Daniel :: Carroll County Farm Museum, Westminister, MD

What a cool place! Sweeping grassy hills, tall trees and a variety of buildings made it such a unique location for a wedding. Katie and Daniel had an outdoor ceremony on the lawn behind the farmhouse. It was the perfect little oasis for an intimate wedding with Daniel's father officiating. Following the ceremony, the guests moved over to the reception barn for dinner and dancing. The DJ managed to get the crowd moving after a delicious spread of barbecued meats and sides. What an amazing evening it was for them, celebrating with their family and friends! • Kristen + Jeremiah :: Historic Baldwin Hall, Millersville, MD

Kristen and Jeremiah were married at Historic Baldwin Hall, a charming building located in Millersville, MD. The block dentil cornices, windows with rounded arched, "Gothic" sashes and all of the architectural details made it the perfect place for their wedding. They had a lovely outdoor ceremony in front of the old school house where sheer panels hung on the columns and created a soft, romantic look. All of the details were so amazing, from the pillows to the shimmery table runners, candles, and arrangements. Kristen and her family put all of the arrangements together! They were phenomenal!! Surrounded by their family and friends they celebrated the most amazing day. The speeches were so touching! Everyone remarked that they all knew when they met Jeremiah that he was the one for Kristen, the one whom she could not live without. Kristen was simply radiant and their incredible love for each other was so evident. They exited to bubbles and drove off in the most amazing car, perfectly suited to their wedding! #historicbaldwinhall #historicbaldwinhallwedding #romanticwedding #tyingtheknot #marylandwedding #Marylandweddingphotographer #summerwedding #classiccar

  • Ashley + Mike :: Naval Academy Chapel // Loews Hotel, Annapolis, MD

What an unbelievable day we had with Ashley and Mike! They are the kind of couple that you meet for the first time and it seems like you've known them forever. Friendly, warm-hearted and so flexible which made our jobs so easy. They had a destination wedding in Annapolis, the area meant so much to them. Mike graduated from the Naval Academy and so their ceremony was held at the Naval Academy Chapel which was absolutely grand, ending with a sword arch. Following their ceremony, guests made their way over to Loews Hotel for their reception which was gorgeously decorated in a nautical theme. We had intense rain all day as a tropical depression came through, but it let up for 5 minutes, so we ran out for a few shots before the sky opened up again. The most awesome thing about these two was that they didn't let the rain bother them in the least! Ashley and Mike just embraced the day and enjoyed their celebration surrounded by their family and closest friends. • Kaitlyn + Kyle :: Monkton, MD

Kaitlyn and Kyle were married in Kyle's dad's backyard, such a lovely setting for their celebration! Once again, rain threatened, but held off for the day :) The yard games, rustic decor, photo booth and amazing food made it super fun for their guests. They wanted to keep things simple and yet Kaitlyn's attention to detail made it so beautiful--she painted the ladder toss bolas silver and bronze to add some gorgeous flair! Kaitlyn's brother officiated and kept the ceremony short and sweet. Kyle's grandfather was able to bring one of his Model T Fords, a nice surprise for them. It was a fun, relaxing celebration with their family and friends and their hashtag was the sweetest thing ever-- #passmorelove-- a play on Kyle's last name (Passmore)! • Carly + Alex :: Private Home, Annapolis, MD

Carly and Alex rented a home near Annapolis, MD to host their wedding. They found the greatest location on the water with amazing views. The forecast was rain mixed with torrential storms all day (literally 90 percent chance all day). Surprisingly, the rain held off until late in the evening and then we got buckets of rain. Their wedding day was just fantastic though! They planned it in such a way that their guests could mingle, relax and just enjoy being together with great food, music and beverages. Carly's mother made the cake (I could've eaten three pieces myself and don't usually care much for cake), they bought local, in-season flowers and designed their bouquets, and her brothers used copper pipes to build her arches and even decorated them. I love it when brides use their creative skills! Their wedding was a reflection of their style. Her goal was to break away from tradition and that they did. The evening ended with Carly doing a couple of pull-ups (seriously the best). • Julia + Ben :: Pine Ridge Farm, Stewartsville, PA

When Julia called me last year to talk about her wedding, it sounded magical. Julia and Ben incorporated natural elements, their travels, things they love, Julia and Leah's angelic voices and planned their wedding with a "rustic elegance" theme in mind. It was 100% them and all happened at Pine Ridge Farm in Stewartstown, PA. If you're looking for a barn venue, check out this place! Both Julia, her sister and their friends are all musically talented. Julia surprised Ben by singing to him during the ceremony. Julia's twin sister, Leah, sang during the ceremony and then again during their first dance. I can't imagine what it must have been like to dance their first dance as husband and wife with Leah singing! Incredibly special and heartwarming. To top it off, they didn't cut a cake. Instead, they bashed a cake-shaped piñata that was full of candy and press-on tatoos! Totally unique with so many sentimental and personal touches woven throughout. They have quite the story as well! They met during their senior year in college and their relationship withstood the test of long distance and time. Both are genuinely kind, loving and deeply caring people.
