Hey, I'm Sara Vars!
I've been a Maryland based wedding photographer since 2006 and specialize in Annapolis waterfront weddings.
What started as a hobby turned into a full-time photography career. I look for opportunities to be outside, exploring local parks, love cooking, color and design.
On the weekends, I’ll be doing anything but sitting--you’ll find me running all over the DMV region, photographing weddings, engagements, and elopements. Running around, connecting with couples and exploring new places are all things I love about my job as a photographer!

I Love What I Do
For your engagement session, I want to photograph you in a place you love and teach you ways to be comfortable in front of the camera; by the end of the shoot, you’ll be more relaxed.. and that’s where the true, authentic moments happen.
For your wedding, I want you to be present during the happiest time of your life. I will pose you, but I will not impose on you. I capture moments, but I'll help you by giving as much direction as you need. Telling your story, capturing candid moments, and the details that you've poured your soul into, these are things that drive me as a wedding photographer.
