How I Photograph Your Wedding Day
Getting Ready
The story begins with the meaningful details. I’ll photograph your dress, accessories, and a beautifully styled flat lay of your invitation suite and sentimental pieces—often with extra florals from your florist.
The Dress & First Looks
Next, I capture the moments of you stepping into your dress with your closest people by your side. From there, we move into any planned first looks—whether with bridesmaids, a parent, or your partner. After your first look as a couple, I’ll take 5–7 minutes for a few heartfelt portraits while emotions are fresh and authentic.
Wedding Party Portraits
We then transition into wedding party photos. If you’ve selected two photographers, the second photographer will cover the groomsmen while I focus on you and your bridesmaids. Group portraits are efficient, fun, and tailored to your style—editorial, classic, playful, or a mix.
Family Portraits
With everyone looking their best, we’ll capture immediate family photos for both sides. This approach keeps everything organized and smooth, and gives you a short break before the ceremony begins.
After the Ceremony
If you have extended family portraits, we’ll complete those right after the ceremony once guests have cleared the space. This keeps gathering quick and efficient—so you can head to your celebration on schedule.
Reception Coverage
During the first hour of your reception, I’ll photograph your big moments—introductions, first dance, parent dances, and cake cutting. After that, I move into candid storytelling on the dance floor, capturing the energy, laughter, and joy of your celebration. If you’re up for it, we can also sneak out for 10 minutes to create a romantic night shot before the party continues.
